 Guests gathered from around the
globe to help celebrate this special occasion. The groom
and company cluster on the church ( chiesa )
steps, awaiting the bride's arrival in her sporty SMART
car.
 The centuries-old church is atop a hill,
overlooking the Ligurian Sea . She enters la chiesa
on the arm of her brother and steps towards her
groom.
 The service is beautiful, spoken in both
Italian and English for the benefit of all guests.
Onlookers are drawn to the ceremony, as they hover in
the back of the church to witness this wonderful
event.
The ceremony ends with a breathtaking song performed
by a classically trained opera singer as bride and groom
exit the church to be showered with rice and rose
petals.
Following the wedding, family and friends caravan
their cars through the streets of Santa Margherita
towards the reception, honking their horns in an age-old
tradition. People on the streets applaud and wave in
response.
 The reception is held high up on the
hilltop, with breathtaking views of Rapallo and Santa
Margherita. Following the aperitivi in the
piazza , guests make their way into the
ristorante where fresh seafood, meats, and
pasta, as well as a selection of local wines are
featured throughout the multi-course dinner. The
festivities end with dancing, laughter and good wishes.
